when i was last in Paris i stayed in the Montmartre area and it’s definitely my favorite part of the city… the center of the Parisian art world in the 19th and early 20th centuries.  Pissarro was legendary for painting views of the French capital in the impressionist manner, and is partly responsible for popularizing the Haussmanization of the city - the broad boulevards and tree-lined avenues that characterize Paris

Pissarro was definitely good at capturing the beauty in unexpected places…
